Move your website without losing what you've built.

Migrations go wrong in predictable ways: email stops working after a DNS change, old links lead to error pages, or the site is offline longer than anyone expected. Planning for those is most of the job.

Website Migration is for

  • Businesses moving away from an expensive or unreliable host
  • Sites moving to PreviewDeck hosting
  • Owners changing domain names or rebuilding on a new platform

Common migration scenarios

  • Moving to another host

Same site, new home, with the switch timed to avoid downtime.

  • Moving to PreviewDeck hosting

We transfer your site and take over the technical setup.

  • Connecting a new domain

Changing names while keeping old links working.

  • Rebuilding an existing site

A new build that replaces the old one without breaking its URLs.

Redirects and search visibility

If people and search engines know your pages by certain addresses, those addresses need to keep working. Before a migration we list the important URLs on your current site. Any that change get a permanent redirect to their new location.

We also make sure the new site has the basics search engines expect: correct page titles, a sitemap, and HTTPS. A well-handled migration preserves your existing visibility. We can't promise rankings, but we can avoid the mistakes that usually cause drops.

Keeping downtime short

The new site is set up and tested before any DNS change happens. When everything checks out, we switch DNS at a quiet time and keep the old host running briefly while the change spreads, so visitors reach a working site either way.

Frequently asked questions

Will my site go offline during the move?

Usually only briefly, if at all. The new site is tested before DNS changes, and the old host stays up while the change spreads.

Can you move a WordPress site?

Yes. Depending on the site, we can move it as it is or rebuild it on a simpler setup. We'll explain the trade-offs.

What do you need from me?

Access to your current host, your domain registrar, and any services connected to the site, such as email or forms.

Tell us a little about your business and what you need. We'll reply with questions or a clear next step, and confirm any quote before work begins.
